ok.. i know i've been a bit of a buster in the past, but this is for real.
there is a site out there, and apparently a demand, for modified housepets.
in a nutshell, what these ahem... [people] do is take a kitten, sedate it, insert the poor thing into a glass bottle with air holes drilled into it, and run tubes into it to feed it, and tubes into it to take care of everything else.
If you read the letters in bonsai kittens mail page you will see it is supposed to be a joke -they mention that babies and boyfriends dont have bones as soft as kittens and you cant get the same effect.
But it is indeed sick and there are people out there who are mental enough to try this,or be motivated to do other stupid things after reading this.
Animal cruelty is no joke.

I have enjoyed reading this post and the one on emotional abuse.
Rejection is a word that rings bells for me,and also the part about tactile-as in hugs etc.
At the moment I am going through a stage of sorting it all out in my head..wish it would go away.

here's one from me.. i went to a hairdressing salon for the first time and the stylist was a camp male who never stopped chatting from the second he got his gesticulating paws on my scruffy mop.. my mum who is a devout jw was sitting reading a mag waiting for me.. next thing he's telling us about his gay male friend who is a bit down because he is having an affair with a jw.
to make things worse he is married with kids (the brother not the gay friend).. stifling my shock and trying not to look at my mum who is staring wildly and unseeingly at her mag i asked his name or address and although he didn't know the name he told us his street and district!.

I have seen many jw women who suddenly lose too much weight so that its obviously an eating disorder.This is another side affect of having people control your life and wanting to be perfect!
I also had an experience where I found my best friend had blamed me for something that we were both equally to blame for,and as she was the perfect little elders daughter no one second guessed her story.
Not such a loyal friend..I would never have done that to her.

Gossip is allways part of life in the congregation,and now that Im not in it they probably still gossip about me if they see me!
I always ask mum who was at the meeting etc,to work out who may or may not be there now.

Yep,raise a girl as a Tomboy and she will be more fareless,assertive,confident,outgoing adn competitve!
Some people in my Mans family have tried to talk me into putting my wee lady into child modeling,but i refuse as idd prefer her to grow up to love being natural and not pretentious as alot of women i know are.
The wanting to wear makeup days will come but as i grew up with a mum who spent hours in front of the mirror every morning and refuses to go swimming as her makeup will fall off,i will make sure there are other interests as well.
More to life than atracting men,and having babies!!!!

i have always had trouble breathing.
in track i was great for a quick burst of speed in the 50 yard dash, but couldn't move enough air in and out to keep myself going for the longer runs like the 330. i had sleep apnea really bad, with the classic symptoms where i stopped breathing for a while and then suddenly snorted myself awake gasping for breath.
for most of my life, surgery wasn't an option due to my jw lifestyle and employment choices (cleaning business = no insurance).

for the majority of humans, certain events are surrounded by tradition and ritual.
marriage, the birth of children, entrance into adulthood, and death are all life-events which will be marked by most with a form of religious ceremony.
for the few who have left off affiliation with a religious organization, these events are marked differently - more by tradition than by mystic ritual.

WOW-what a fabulouse lady.
She is still a teacher in the afterlife because Im sure everyone reading her story will learn alot about making the most of life.
Also to show the ultimate love for her friends and family by truly caring about how they healed in thier grief over losing her.
I would be cremated,and I would like to be planted into soil of a brand new tree so my children could go there to sit under,and know it was left just for them.
I would like my children to be allowed at my funeral only if they want to be there as it is usually expected and maybe their are other ways to say good bye.
I just hope they remember me as happy and loving not my grumpy days.
Maybe one day i will write a letter to tell them how much i love them as sometime kids hear the scolding more than the praise and idd hate for them to question my love.
Also another wish is that my man find someone that will trully love my kids and him as much as i do.

i asked this in one of the threads ( http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/thread.asp?id=5335) but i would like to explore it further.. am i the only one to think this or did it seem like the sisters with unbelieving mates and children seemed to be "tolerated" or marginalized?
they never seemed to be "full" witnesses to anybody in the congregation?.

Oh how I wish you had wiped the smug look of her face,you could have done this in' a christian' way but she would have felt a fool!
But the borg teaches us to be submissive not assertive.
My Dad was unbelieving and then divorced mum and she became the single sister so I know what its like.How I wished I had both parents there so that we would be treated with respect.
Another family of girls the same age as us was doted on by many because their Dad died befor they came into the borg.They were viewed as much more' spiritual',but they had tons of support and only we knew what they were up to at school!
If I could do it all again'no thanks!'..I would stick up for myself and my family.And I would be more helpful to the single mums who are doing an amasing job with the best intentions for their family!
